Hi lovelies! About a week ago I attended a group interview for a casual position at Lush over the Christmas period. Can I just say: As well as having first-rate products, the staff are absolutely delightful and the whole atmosphere of their working environment is fun, playful and really intimate and customer-focused. Interview aside, at the end of the night each of the applicants including me were gifted with a little goodie-bag of samples and a Lush catalogue (so thoughtful!). Let’s have a look at what I received…
First Up: The Charity Pot Body Cream! I was super excited to get this one because I’ve been meaning to purchase a full-sized pot for ages and my last sample pot has nothing left but a delicious-smelling residue on the sides. I am absolutely in love with Charity Pot, it’s like a relaxing holiday on my skin (mm, holidays). I’m gonna say it’s reminiscent of a sunscreen smell — which is a lot better than it sounds and really lends to that holiday feeling! You can use this anywhere on your skin or hands like a lotion and it leaves your skin feeling soft as feathers and smelling amazing. Can’t wait to get my hands on a full-sized jar, it’s $32.50 for 240g (buy it here) and it’ll last for ages.

Next, Grass Shower Gel. I was a little skeptical of the smell at first because it seemed a bit strong in the pot but it’s amazing once it’s on your body! I loaded up my loofah with this and found that it really wasn’t necessary as it lathers up really nicely and a little goes a long way. It’s so refreshing and smells just like a fresh lawn! It gave me a good scrubbing without drying my skin out and I’m seriously considering blowing more of my money on a full sized bottle, which, by the way is only $9.95 for 100g and is available here.

Now I haven’t actually had the chance to try the Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo. I’ve heard some pretty excellent things about the solid shampoos at Lush and I’m sure the liquids are equally amazing, but I’m a little worried about mixing this scent with other products. The smell is fabulous, like scotch and something. It’s not really like anything else I can think of, it’s really unique and delicious. My problem is that I condition my hair every time and I wouldn’t want to wreck this great smell by slopping my non-handmade, non-natural, non-amazing crap on top of it. Cynthia Sylvia Stout is $32.95 for a 500g bottle and you can get it here.

Lastly we have the Figs and Leaves Soap, and I love it. The smell is great and like every other soap at Lush it cleans and moisturises and really looks after your skin — it’s even got little seed bits for exfoliation. I’m notoriously bad at describing smells I’m not familiar with but the Lush website describes it as ‘floral, with an undertone of eastern exoticism.’ It’s $6.95 for 100g and well worth it in my opinion. Get it here!

I rarely have a bad word to say about Lush products but I still want you to keep in mind that I’m completely unbiased and all my glowing reviews are hard-earned. So have you tried any of these Lush products? Would you recommend I buy full sizes? Let me know!
