Hi everyone! I’m back from my blogging hiatus and super excited to get back into everything. I’ve had a really great couple of months but I missed you guys so much! I’ve raved about Sleek cosmetics before for their consistent quality and great prices. Of their ‘i-Divine’ eyeshadow palettes I own two: Bad Girl and Oh So Special. You can read about Bad Girl here but today I’m talking about my favourite! Some of the shades are less pigmented than others but overall they’re pretty amazing and I get a lot of use out of it.
As with my Bad Girl review I’ve only swiped the colours once or twice so you can get an idea of the opacity of each. None of the shades really come close to the thick, bright formulas in Bad Girl but they build up really easily and go on quite smoothly. I use this palette for nearly all my daytime looks when I can’t be bothered traveling with a bunch of singles and smaller palettes. It’s really handy and versatile for day to night! The biggest complaint I have is that I somehow received a dud that contained two pans of Boxed instead of a Wrapped Up, which would have been a really nice brown matte colour to use in the crease.
Bow is a creamy matte off-white colour, great as a subtle highlight on the brow or inner corner for softer looks.
Organza is a super gorgeous pearl shade with a warm peachy pink shimmer.
Ribbon, a soft peach pink matte shade, I don’t get a lot of use out of. it’s gorgeous, but it really doesn’t look good on my skin tone, pity.
Gift Basket is a great warm brown shimmer shade that’s probably my favourite out of the palette. It’s a great shade to use on it’s own when I’m feeling lazy and works easily for day and nighttime looks.
Glitz and Celebrate pearlescent gunmetal and dark plum/purple respectively, are the two deepest, most dramatic colours in the palette that I love for smokey eyes and deepening a daytime look for night.
Pamper is the lighter sister colour of Ribbon, so is another shade I don’t reach for very often. Like Ribbon this is a soft peachy pink matte.
Gateau is a cool pink pearlescent shade and is the prettiest from the whole palette in my opinion. Super gorgeous and girly!
The Mail is another shade I love for everyday use. I love it for warming up the crease and adding a little depth when I can’t be bothered getting ready (which is a lot of the time).
Now I’m fairly sure the shade I have next is Boxed, I got two pans of the same thing, which was a bit disappointing. I actually didn’t notice at first and thought I was just too uneducated in colour to see the difference! Once I got online and saw other people’s palettes and swatches I realised I was missing one and it was too late to return it, damn.
And last but not least is Noir, the matte black that comes in the majority of the Sleek palettes. For some reason this Noir is less pigmented than the one that came in Bad Girl, but a lot less messy and chalky also which is a plus. The inclusion of Noir makes the palette a lot more versatile, if all else fails I can always add some drama to my look with a bit of black through the crease or in the outer V.
I would recommend this palette for just about anyone! I was torn between this and Au Naturel at first but I’m really glad I got this one, it’s served me really well since I got it. It’s got some gorgeous everyday looks and you can really ramp up the pretty girly colours or switch it to a sultry night time look in a heartbeat. This baby is only $12.00AUD from Sleek’s website here and is worth every penny.
